Pros

You will be thrown into the fire where you will sink or swim. If you are a Junior Account Executive you'll have direct contact with clients almost immediately and have an opportunity to work on creative, media strategy, and account services. The work environment is mostly filled with young, recent college graduates who are a joy to be around and will help you the best they can. The creative team in both art and production is very talented but they are limited by the direction of management.

Cons

Constant fear of losing your job will occur. Extremely high turnover rate. Frequent unprofessional and inappropriate comments from upper management. The owner has no respect or sense of loyalty to any person working there that does not share his last name. The creative is dictated by only two people, neither of which are employed in the creative department of the agency. Upper management serves only as "yes" men to the owner and will never defend your or their own actual opinion.

Pros

It's a comfortable/casual work environment and there is some flexibility in your balance of life outside of work. Furthermore, management has a keen grasp of their clientele, retail automotive dealers, and knows what helps move the needle. Most of the time you feel comfortable asking for flexibility in appointment scheduling etc... vacation time is decent.

Cons

There is a fickle environment where management truly struggles to "practice what they preach." There is no clear creative department, although multiple "creative directors" have turned over in an attempt to make some change. All "creative" is template based and is relatively cheesy. If you are a design-focused ad fan, automotive in general is not the place for you. Moral is low. Very few truly enjoy their jobs. Employees feel expendable, so loyalty to the company is nearly nonexistent. The level of unprofessional behavior from the family-run management is unheard of. Integrity is spoken and preached on, but anecdotal evidence proves that management feels these same rules of aspiration do not apply to them. As a result, it creates an uncomfortable and hostile environment. For many, the job here is considered a blip on the resume until better things arise. Additionally, compensation packages are bleak and salary bumps are rare. Maybe this has changed, as this was a primary reason for many leaving in the past and I know management was making efforts to change this. Additional benefits are small. Vacation time is pretty standard but the health coverage is still unaffordable to many on their given salaries and 401K matching is abysmal. In short, the benefits can be bulleted on paper, but upon closer review, they really aren't benefits at all.

Pros

You'll be surrounded by excited, young, marketing people who are most likely at their first job. You're given a large amount of responsibility and taught things that wouldn't normally be taught to your position level. You'll be a jack of all trades. That said, you may not be doing any of them correctly. If you get in tight with the upper level management they'll take good care of you.

Cons

They offer health benefits, but they may be unaffordable for some. The 401K match is an insult. The owner and his family are flashy, loud and disrespectful. The employee turnover is the highest that I've ever seen. ZERO process. Everything is rushed.
