Pros

Insurance was good until they recently changed it, now I'd say it's comparable to most corporate policies (steep premium and high deductible).

Cons

The corporate culture was extremely toxic. Expectation of working long hours (10-12) a day meant you were a good employee. Appropriate use of electronics in meetings by upper management is atrocious (get off your phone and listen). Lack of experience and professionalism plague and starts at the top.

Pros

Decent health care, good co-workers. There isn't much else to add for this part. I'm just trying to get the 20 word minimum I need.

Cons

Management are treated like slaves. Corporate office tells us to think but micro manages every detail of the day and job. They create salaried employees just to treat them like slaves. 70 plus hour weeks are normal but your also told your not doing enough when you actually try to leave on time. Pay scales are very out of date on average fleet farm will offer 20 percent less than industry average but claim pay doesn't affect turnover, retention or employee happiness. There is absolutely no life and work balance. Company was recently bought out by kkr an investment firm and they promoted several employees from within but made a few bad choices in doing so. Employee moral is terrible and the corporate office is oblivious to what is happening at store level. There so into creating checklists and micro managing that they can't tell the stores can't hire or retain staff because of the pay scales.

Pros

They finally have an employee discount, although they are often out of things you want to buy. The new building is very nice, although way too big for such a small company. Flex time is nice on paper, but you will get yelled at for using it.

Cons

After the investment firm bought out the company, people have been getting laid off left and right. No one is safe, and this is reflected in the overall attitude and mood of the employees. Instead of being a team, coworkers are more worried about being next on the chopping block. You WILL get thrown under the bus if it saves someone higher up. It is not a happy place to work. They will assign you new duties as the staff gets culled and not pay you for taking on more responsibilities. Management is NOT understanding of this and will expect the same amount of work from you even though you have twice as much on your plate. If you have any sort of medical issue or disability-STEER CLEAR! They will NOT accommodate you and will penalize you for needing extra time or assistance to complete projects or need time off for appointments.
