Pros

Competitive pay, benefits and a clean, safe working environment. Upper level management is present and communicates effectively, making you feel welcome. Unfortunately, they are the only ones who do.

Cons

They really tried to make this job sound like something it is not when I interviewed; laid back atmosphere, opportunity for advancement, etc. The reality is that the workplace culture is very rigid and the policies are too complex or ambiguous for most people to follow, i.e. attendance. There is way more concern for rules and punishing people than rewarding people for a job well done or developing individual talents. Management is disconnected and out of touch with the average employee and makes no effort to build a trusting working relationship. Supervisors are out for themselves and their own advancement, not the success of the other workers or the good of the company as a whole.

Pros

-Friendly and supportive executives -Tuition Support -Fair Pay -Good work schedule (1st shift office) -Decent benefits

Cons

-Very little hands-on-training (I was given 2 weeks of training at my initial position and nearly no training for my final position) -Management quality varies greatly from supervisor to supervisor -Flexfab encourages growth initially, but seems to forget about employees over time -Some senior staff are allowed to be bullies due to having what amounts to "tenure" (essentially they cannot be fired for acting inappropriately as the company has allowed it in the past, thus setting the precedent that it is not punishable) -Upper management puts faith in lower management to make decisions regarding employees with little to no follow-up to ensure the decisions are correct or warranted -The work environment was quite unprofessional at times. Gossiping, rumors, complaining about co-workers behind their backs, sending passive aggressive emails and tagging superiors, etc. -People in the office (non-managerial employees) will time when you clock in, clock out, take breaks, use the restroom, etc. -Despite propaganda, there is very little room for moving up in the company. Most managers will not leave until they retire and the positions available are quite limited. You must essentially await someone's retirement to get a new job. I could go on for some time, but please keep in mind that experiences vary greatly and my situation was quite specific and lead to a very unpleasant work life.

Pros

Great family owned company. They take care of their employees. Great benefits package

Cons

A lot of small town mentality. While there are a lot of long term employees with a great deal of tenure it also results in silos of information.
