Pros

The process of awarding projects is really quick. On other freelancer job sites, takes a few days or even week to be selected to work on a project. I understand for large project, this makes sense. I had to wait 2 weeks to be hired for $50 project. Here in Flocksy the process most of times don't takes more than a few hours or even minutes. Also, if you meet some requirements on your offer, you may be selected to work automatically.

Cons

Some projects are more complex than others, so It's difficult to complete a professional video editing for a medium complex project within 24 hours.

Pros

Overall, I'm very happy here. I left my office job last summer and am earning my old salary with a much better work-life balance. I had some major frustrations with other freelancing sites (Upwork, etc) but I don't experience those with Flocksy. - Wide range of interesting projects - Choose what you want to work on - Clients are already converted so you don't need to convince them of the value of creative work or offer a full pitch for every project - Clients don't ghost you - Project managers handle admin tasks with clients and any rare negative reactions - Weekly payments via Paypal - Potential to earn more by working more - Public-facing portfolio, which is very useful for ghostwriters - Monthly optional team meetings for updates and communication Some of this might vary based on the type of work you're doing. I've seen reviews for graphic designers and web designers who seem to deal with more frustration regarding revisions, client expectations, assets, etc. I don't have trouble with this as a writer.

Cons

- No benefits -- this isn't unexpected for a freelance position, but still a negative - Work quantity can be inconsistent - No communication on why your bid wasn't approved - The procedures aren't spelled out anywhere and were difficult to figure out as a beginner - It can take a long time to be approved for new types of work. I have a work test that's been pending for 8 months. - Rates aren't always competitive with the industry standard. (That said, it's a way better situation than being underbid by people offering $5 work on other sites. I make between 50-100% of market rates on projects, and occasionally even higher.)
