Decent benefits, but that's about it.

Pros

Decent benefits package, free coffee & tea every day, and free popcorn on Friday's.

Cons

Employees are treated like 3rd rate citizens. Unless you are the head of a department or higher up the chain, any suggestions or criticism you voice falls on deaf ears. New U.S Presidents are more common than raises, and any bonus gets taxed at 40%. Any mis-step is reprimanded immediately, while accolades for good work are as rare as albino whales.

Pros

Fantastic work environment. Recent pay raises made it more competitive. The benefits are outstanding and there is a lot of flexibility for urgent sick days or vacation time. It’s a very calm work environment, not as hectic as in the private law firms. The job has purpose and ample room to learn different areas of the law.

Cons

Not much delegation to the branches, headquarters wants to micromanage everything. There is no possibility to be promoted as a paralegal. You can only hope for pay raises that come every 5+ years. Very conservative, old- school upper management. This is not a progressive work environment. Changes that occur are not to modernize the job.

Pros

The benefits are top notch, and management is very understanding of your needs. Schedules can be very flexible, due to the availability of taking a "half day" of sorts once a week. The longevity of people's careers here is very comforting, and turnover is very low.

Cons

Technology needs to be updated and salaries across the board should be reevaluated. There are some discrepancies regarding communication across different areas and departments, but that is understandable.
