Pros

Great skilled and experienced team; no drama, politics or manipulative behaviours among leadership or team members. Remote work, flexible around commitments, illness and family engagements.

Cons

Not clear about progression in the business; it's a small team that's been mostly a flat organization but is growing so there's likely going to be more hierarchy in the future, and opportunity to develop into senior roles. Average pay for the sector/WordPress senior development.

Pros

- Salary and benefits are very competitive - Management navigated COVID incredibly well. No layoffs, bonuses still granted. - Work-life balance is respected and management will support you on this. - The work environment is collaborative and supportive. - No current employees who have been with the company for under 2 years. All senior team members have been here for 4+ years. -Great, enterprise-level clients. Most stick around for 5+ years.

Cons

- One month you can be buried in work, and the next month can be light. Pretty standard for tech services industry but may not be for you. - Fully remote team spread out in Ontario Canada. Don't get as much face time as one might like. - Being a self-starter is a requirement. Though the team is very supportive, it's a small, busy company. You will need to be an autonomous learner/researcher to get up to speed.

We always appreciate feedback from our employees and former employees. In this case, this particular individual wasn't truthful regarding their skillset during their interview process. Unfortunately, we failed to catch this early-on and when it was discovered that their skillset didn't match with our requirements, they were offered an improvement plan with no change in compensation. The employee chose to resign rather than upgrade their skills. It's true, FlowPress has a way of doing things and we are very clear and open about that during our interviews and onboarding. Our average employee tenure is well over 3 years and "Quick to dismiss people" is just not accurate. The best way to find out though is to contact us for an interview. We'd love to hear about what you're looking for and what you might bring to our team!
