Pros

- a few very genuine people who are nice to work with

Cons

Culture is really terrible. They used to have HR but fired them because they didn't want to be accountable. They still actively joke about this - about not being able to handle the environment. The company actively encourage bullying and inappropriate teasing in the workplace inc sexual comments from senior mgmt. It's really disturbing. They have a scape goat mentality. Often had meetings deciding who to blame for failures FNPL pressure their staff into uploading positive false Glassdoor reviews. I was there when I was actively asked to do this but felt uncomfortable and refrained. They also BUY/pay people to make up false trustpilot reviews to balance the volume of negative ones because customer service is rude and of poor standard. Client teams are often in the office discussing how annoying/irritating customers are/ how much everyone hates them. It's really terrible for morale and explains the bad customer service. - lack of any communication. Don't listen to any feedback either then blame lower level staff for failures -really stingy with salaries of staff who keep the business running

Pros

Some kind people at FNPL.

Cons

Senior management: No interest or concern for staff welfare. Patronising, sexist approach to management where workplace bullying is not just in evidence by senior management, it’s actively encouraged. Staff are ruled by fear which creates a fake atmosphere where most are too scared to speak out about how they really feel. No HR, no onboarding, no consideration of people and their needs. Multiple examples of new starters disappearing into meeting rooms with their managers and not coming back. Job security at FNPL is non-existent. Much of this comes from an inexperienced management team who are attempting to build an innovative, high performing company based on old school values and hierarchy. Staff being publicly ridiculed, laughed at and intimidated across an open plan office is something I won’t forget. A toxic atmosphere I guarantee nobody can thrive in. Bravado and stupidity are rewarded over any sense of integrity or care. A review here points out that staff were pressured to review FNPL positively. This doesn’t surprise me at all. Consider that carefully as you read the many positive reviews... Avoid this company at all costs, it has no moral compass.

Pros

There are some genuinely lovely, warm, friendly staff that work here and do not deserve the treatment they get. They deserve SO much more. They are hard working, they are committed to the company, they pour their entire being into making this company a second worthy of your time and they are treated like rubbish.

Cons

Don't be fooled by the positive reviews, whilst there are some staff who have left under good terms, there is tremendous pressure on staff to put up positive reviews to boost the company's outside perception. 1) There is a complete lack of regard for staff safety, management doesn't care about Covid, openly believing it is all a hoax and would have you work through it in the office if they could, regardless of how many people you endanger. This is a sheer lack of consideration, blind obsession with what enters thier pockets and mindboggling delusionment. When the leaders of your company openly reject wearing a mask anywhere, a small courtesy and thing to ask in order to keep other human beings safe, it makes you question what kind of people you work for and how much they consider your life and the lives of others, management here abide by the "wouldn't spit on you if you were on fire" philosophy. Last March, it took the entire team of staff begging to bring management around to working from home. 2) Management doesn't care about how hard staff work, especially during these times. With key members leaving (sadly, but to be expected whilst Covid was in full storm last year), others had to pick up the baton. Not that anyone was ever expecting reward (it's a team effort, everyone does what they need to in a company that felt like a family to them), it's clear that management don't consider the efforts their staff have put in, making it clear that they shouldn't need to reward staff with anything. Apparently even 1 day of holiday is FAR too much. 3) Bullying, on the basis of culture, langauge and more, not just from management, but from key staff members (sharks) attempting to be seen as "the best?" And what is the penalty? Next to nothing. Apparently a tap on the wrist is this company's way of tackling bullying. Bravo FNPL, glad to see you leading the way for company standards. 4) The company ethos stinks, they treat their customers like they treat their staff. Providing any form of short term financing is always a sensitive issue, this company has made little to no effort to reassure customers that they have nothing to worry about. I witnessed a day to day blase attitude towards the reports of people seeing their credit rating destroyed by these such companies. 5) If you want to suffer from anxiety and depression, this is the company for you
