Pros

I currently serve as a senior leader at Flywire APAC & started while there was only 2 Flymates in Australia now there is 90+ .. and it has been one of the most rewarding professional experiences of my career. Flywire operates at the intersection of payments, technology, and global education, solving real problems for universities, healthcare providers, and businesses around the world. What stands out most is the mission-driven culture. The company genuinely focuses on helping institutions simplify complex cross-border payments while improving the experience for students and customers globally. It’s rare to work in an environment where the impact of your work is so visible. From a leadership perspective, Flywire provides a great platform to build and lead high-performing teams across multiple markets. The organization encourages ownership, innovation, and collaboration, which allows teams to move quickly and make meaningful progress. The executive leadership team is thoughtful, transparent, and focused on long-term growth. There is a strong sense of accountability combined with trust, which creates an environment where people can do their best work. Flywire is also going through an exciting growth phase, expanding its product capabilities and global footprint. For professionals who enjoy building, scaling, and solving complex global challenges, it’s a fantastic place to be. Pros -Strong mission and meaningful impact -Global exposure and growth opportunities -Collaborative culture with smart, driven people -Leadership that encourages ownership and innovation

Cons

Fast growth means priorities can sometimes shift quickly.

Seeing Flywire’s growth in APAC through the lens of someone who helped build it, is truly special. We’re especially grateful for your reflections on our mission and the visibility of the impact our work has on students, healthcare providers and partners around the world. That sense of purpose, combined with ownership, collaboration and innovation, is exactly what we strive to foster every day. It’s also great to hear that this has translated into a meaningful leadership experience and an environment where teams can do their best work. Pros

- Flexible work hours and locations (work 100% remote or from the office) - Excellent benefits - paid Health Insurance, Health and Wellness programs - Immediate managers are very supportive in where you would like your career to go

Cons

- Too many managers. It takes forever to get one simple task done as it needs to be approved by so many different people, and those people do not have time to approve it. - A remote-first environment (and working with people in different timezones) does make it challenging to connect with co-workers and feel like you're making a difference.
