Pros
Opportunity to gain exposure to backend system engineering and Cisco equipment. Work involves hands-on learning in a technical environment.
Cons
Very little room for new employees to make mistakes during probation. A five-minute overrun of my lunch break was treated very seriously and reflected negatively on my performance. In my previous work experience, whether in small SMEs or larger organisations, I had never been treated this way over such a minor incident. Management style felt strict and, in my opinion, lacked sufficient guidance and support for new hires. I was uncomfortable that my CV was displayed on a projector during onboarding for others to view. In my previous companies, my CV was only been seen by the hiring manager, director, or HR personnel directly involved in recruitment. I found the workplace culture challenging and not a good fit for me. Based on the employment package offered to me, there was no Annual Wage Supplement (AWS), 13th-month payment, or annual bonus. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend the company to those looking for a supportive environment to learn and grow during probation.
