Pros

I can't think of any pros to working here other than receiving a paycheck. But that happens just about anywhere you work. So if you've never worked anywhere before and you want to learn how to NOT do just about everything, work at Fora Financial. They will show you how to do everything wrong and backwards.

Cons

They do not trust you. They don't trust anyone. You will be watched like a criminal and they expect the worst from everyone. Your manager will not believe you can do your job. They will never keep a promise or make good on any agreement. The HR department is run by the Chief Financial Officer which is a clear conflict of interest. So you are on your own. Don't expect HR to keep any of your conversations private. In fact, HR may even be secretly recording you while you are speaking. There is absolutely zero transparency. Everything is a secret. You will be a hamster on a wheel, making sure the owners make as much money as they possibly can. In a nutshell, this place is run by the most greedy individuals you'll meet in a while.

Pros

A get a paycheck every 2 weeks.

Cons

1) Working from home: Right now we have to commute to the office 2x a week. If we are sick, have a doctors appointment, an emergency, etc. whatever the situation may be, we can't simply work from home. We have to use either our sick hours or CTO hours. So either I use my sick hours or come into the office and spread my germs everywhere. This is their policy, while were are still in a global pandemic. 2) Medical/Dental- The WORST benefits I have ever seen in my career. I actually pay into cobra from my previous job just to keep that insurance instead. 3) HR- Absolutely unprofessional! I've seen one HR rep walk around in a crop top. And giving nasty looks to employees with no comment. Working in HR doesn't mean you can do as you please. You're suppose to the role models if anything for the rest of the employees. High School ended a while ago ladies. 4) Upper Management - This company is too small to be playing into hierarchy nonsense. Yet that's exactly what Fora does. VPs are allowed to WFH as they please, Directors/Managers are also allowed to do as they please, and everyone underneath them are required to pick up the slack and forced to come into the office. 5) Mobility/Growth- A JOKE. You're hired for one thing and then most of your time you're doing the tedious, mind-numbing, tasks that everyone else doesn't want to do. 6) Office Enviornment- Coffee from a Kurieg and little creamers you get from Motel 6s? Nice. BONUS: Let's not forget that the AC is constantly breaking and we've run out of the water bottles they supply us. Hey, I guess that's a benefit, when they have them at least!

Pros

Collegial atmosphere. Free Lunch here and there. Decent location near Times Square and MSG

Cons

9-6 doing very boring, monotonous work. Clear lack of trust - managers and HR watch you 24/7. Office is and even looks like a boiler room. Few abrasive colleagues. Very little growth potential.
