Decent tech company, bad leadership, high turnover
Pros
Coworkers Great culture amongst my colleagues
Cons
Leadership, Pay, Disorganization, Turnover The main issue at Force is the leadership. Although they say that they care about their employees, they severely underpay and offer very little benefits including stock that you cannot transact, expensive healthcare, the bare minimum of PTO, and took away 401K match last year. With that being said, I took the job because of the hiring manger who was currently at the company (Head of Marketing). After she left, I was exposed to the extremely confusing leadership and disorganization at the organization. The CEO and president are married, which makes it difficult to navigate strategies, with conflicting feedback and two different opinions on everything. The most disappointing part of it all was the way in which I was treated once I put in my two-weeks. During my 2-weeks notice call with the CEO, she did not act professionally. In fact, she said my leaving was putting the company in a vulnerable position. On top of that, she asked me to stay longer than the 2-weeks, which is already a courtesy. A more telling example of the lack of professionalism is her refusal to pay me my newly promoted rate for my final paycheck at the company. I reached out to her to ask if this was a mistake, and no reply. The next day (my last day), I reached out again in case she forgot to reply. no reply. I reached out to someone else in leadership for assistance due to her lack of communication. Leadership informed us that it was rescinded due to my resignation, despite me already conducting three weeks of new and more responsibilities associated with the high title change. I messaged her one last time to inform her that it was extremely unprofessional that I could not get a direct response from her, and that it was incorrect (and illegal) to not pay the money owed. She finally replied and said that I resigned before February 1st, as stated in my documentation that I signed with my promotion. I then proceeded to forward her my official two-week notice via email dated on February 2nd, and she did not reply to me after that. I now no longer work for the company, and the company refuses to pay me the money owed. Not only does this show an extreme lack of responsibility to do the right thing, but to me, this speaks volumes to how they care for their employees. The fact that they choose to ignore the situation entirely is very concerning and frankly immature.
