Pros
There were wonderful benefits for full time employees.
Cons
You have to deal with petty, passive-aggressive and hostile behavior from most of the staff you work with. No one is willing to help anyone else, there is no positive communication, and you will be talked about in the office space behind your back to other employees. The benefits do not out way the mental abuse you will suffer working here. There is no room for advancement, you will be stuck here and you will be miserable. The HR department doesn't exist, if you have any issues they will be completely ignored and you should expect retaliation for your complaint. The environment is toxic.

Wonderful small public library, i.e. professional and helpful staff, well organized and timely collections and programs.

Cons
Advanced reference services limited, due in large part to community demand--not an opportunity for in-depth research experience.
