Amazing product and development team that is smart and works well with all departments. CEO has a great vision but investors and unethical business practices steer the ship now.
Cons
There is no work-life balance at Formative anymore and they have terminated numerous employees despite a massive funding round last year. Sales driven organization that does not promote from within but rather hires former Newsela order takers to control departments. Every project, deal, and meeting is micromanaged. There is no intuition, custom approach, or logic used - only broken processes and inflated metrics chasing. Your calendar is monitored with a microscope and packed with internal meetings. The lack of diversity in leadership positions is very concerning for an edtech company that "promotes" equity and compassion.
