Pros

Largest company in Taiwan; big brand name (in Taiwan); higher compensation than most of the other Taiwanese companies; very stable job, you don't get fired unless you really caused a large trouble.

Cons

Very old and bureaucratic company; lack of innovation and creativity; you don't get promoted by being bright and work hard, you only get promoted for working there for a long time (or know someone important in the company)

- Great work life balance (8:30 am - 5:30 pm) - Average compensation is higher than other companies in Taiwan - A lot of employee discounts and perks

Cons

- Extremely bureaucratic. Know the company's "rule of the game," if you don't want to get into trouble - Very corrupted, a lot of "under table businesses" going on. A lot of bribery is going on. People from top level executives to front line sales are getting paid illegally - Managers and executives spend a lot of efforts pleasing their superiors instead of doing their jobs - You don't get promoted for doing a great job at work, you only get promoted for pleasing your superiors - Extremely top-down. Employee's voice never gets heard - Management team is extremely short sighted - Old fashioned. Zero innovations
