Pros

Generally pleasant atmosphere, modern work environment. Free lunches 3 times a week.

Cons

Chris and Jason are still very wet behind the ears and therefore don't really know the direction they'd like to go in. Many ideas are reacted to without fully thinking them through. Pretty major growing pains, processes that just aren't there or leave too much to be desired. Beware "the dots" (personality testing). After this was implemented people started dropping like flies due to not fitting personality profiles for their current jobs. People that had been in their positions for some time were being let go and replaced. Hypocrisy on social media and to the media in general. Many of the self quotations (yes, they frequently quote themselves) they throw around about business theories/philosophies/practices are not actually being implemented here. The sheer number of meetings is absolutely mind boggling, especially considering they have historically preached about the amount of time removing one meeting from your week can save you. It's bordering on having meetings about meetings.

Pros

Working at Fort Capital had a huge impact on my life. The group of leaders at this company deeply care about their employees and local community. A truly team-centered environment ran by tireless leaders, Chris and Jason. I feel really lucky to have worked under them.

Cons

Not everything is perfect. It is a growing start-up company. Flexibility and the ability to pivot is necessary. You will always be busy. But to the right person, that is not a con.

Pros

Fort Capital’s culture is something that I truly treasure. Each team member strives to live up to our core values each day. Our leadership set OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) that help keep the company focused on the most important things. When the whole company is focused on the most important things, we can achieve lofty goals as a team. Goals that are not typical in a small company like this. The company remains agile as the economy can change quickly. Our leaders strive to keep the company strong even during difficult times which gives me comfort know I can trust our company is in good hands.

Cons

No complaints; this is a fast-paced company and if you are not giving 100%, you will stick out like a sore thumb.
