Pros

Company is a great place to work. Fantastic culture with some of the brightest people I've ever worked with in my life. Not too hierarchal, no micromanagement, teams are mostly flat and people are allowed to contribute to projects however they fit into the project best. Great work life balance. Really fun projects, company has a bright future. Many workers are allowed to be remote. Lots of opportunity to grow in positions or to do new things. Creative people are allowed to be creative here.

Cons

Very fast paced, scope of projects often change and what people work on can quickly change. Not a place suitable if you like doing the same thing every day. You might start on a project and then see it fizzle, only for you to move onto something new the next month. I don't have a problem with this, but some people could find this frustrating.

Pros

Leadership cares about their employees' health and professional growth - really! Business Dev news, negotiations, financials and future plans are all transparently shared with all employees. Smaller company means more opportunities to grow, learn and apply new skills. Fully remote work (although Sausalito office is still an option and the site of occasional team-meetups).

Cons

When you tell people who you work for, they'll probably say, "Who?" If you want to work yourself silly for the latest big-$$, big-name-recognition franchise release, this isn't the place.

Pros

- Wonderful staff of friendly, funny, outgoing people, and extremely talented! - Fully transparent CEO, who is completely open and honest with all employees about the company’s projects and financial forecasts. And he’s just a good guy. - Company is allowing remote work from anywhere in the country but is still paying Bay Area salaries. - Big time priority on long term stability. Company has fingers in many different pies—there are lots of projects going on between FRG and the sister company Free Range XR to keep up cash flow. - Very diverse work. You could work on a AAA title being developed by a larger studio, or work on non gaming enterprise stuff. - Actual good benefits and great pay too for a smaller independent studio. - Amazing work life balance!

Cons

Honestly, none I can think of right now.
