Pros

I really loved working at FreeLife--they did become like my family. I had the opportunity to work on projects and be involved with senior management that I might not have had at another company, especially given my level of experience. I found a lot of mentors in the company as well--and when I needed help people were ready to step up and pitch in. Update meetings gave excellent employees the opportunity to "spin the wheel" and win cash. (And you can't beat the bagels and catered lunch once a month!) And really it was like working with my family--meetings even sometimes felt like family dinners!

Cons

I worked at FreeLife a long time without a raise, promotion, or job title advancement. I was doing work that was way beyond my title or compensation, and watched several friends and coworkers get laid off in three separate rounds of layoffs. Layoffs seemed more based on who liked who than who was actually capable of doing work when the others were laid off. Senior management is unyielding and unresponsive to ideas that come from within the organization. They expect unreal turnaround times for projects. They want it done fast and cheap, but get upset if quality is lacking. Update meetings have started feeling like church, too--you are preached at by the executives.

Pros

The owners really care about the growth of the company. Great benefits and pays pretty good. Great opportunities for growth. Family environment, good communication and training. I enjoyed being a part of this company.

Cons

There are some shady and double or triple faced people out there that will through you under the bus and won't be afraid to lie or gossip.

Pros

The Co-Founders initially had a real passion for the what they were doing and they valued the management team that was helping them reach their goals.

Cons

After reaching a high degree of success, the Co-Founders developed big egos, forgot who helped them get to where they were, hired a CEO, and were basically absent from the company.
