Pros

Fair pay and benefits. Good on-boarding. Interesting projects. Great clients. Culture is focused on excellence and providing the high value lasting solution.

Cons

Your success is totally dependent on you mentor. If your mentor is bad you won't have the opportunity to share your opinion or version with anyone else. Account executives are not knowledgeable about the actual services needed/performed - only know sales.

Pros

Most of the folks who work there are pretty nice, company preaches work life balance (although it is hard to do on a project), most work is interesting (although can be a stretch for your skill set), healthcare insurance is fully paid for by company, fairly flat organization, in-person quarterly meetings, yearly weekend retreat, minimal travel

Cons

Disappointing raises and bonuses, new employees have to prove themselves over and over despite past experience or success, don't understand that full time strategy consultants require planned and budgeted bench time (make the employee take the hit), pay is not performance based, you may be hired at a very senior level and asked to do analyst level work, can be clique-y as small companies often are

Pros

Joining Freed is like joining a family. The leadership team cares about the employees and makes sure everyone is happy and taken care of. Everyone that works at Freed is very experienced and is very competent. Projects are assigned based on your skill set, desired focus area, and client needs.

Cons

As a consultant you are expected to be able to work across the entire spectrum of a project. Meaning that you may be giving a update to a CFO one day and doing a detailed analysis the next. If you prefer the traditional work division found in most big name consulting firms, then Freed likely would not be a good fit for you.
