      Pros

      The staff and people are all very family oriented. The students are also the best in the area. Would not work anywhere else.

      Cons

      The pay is below the local average. Because the school district is so great, they can pay employees less. This is because everyone wants to be in this school district.

      Pros

      As a teacher, a great admin makes or breaks the job. I was at HMS and had an amazing admin the whole 10 years I worked there.

      Cons

      Just general teaching in Texas issues. Teaching, and especially English, has felt under the microscope for the past few years.
