Corporate and impersonal - yet efficient, with a relatively easy work load for the money.
Pros
Pay check every week instead of every two weeks. As drivers you leave with cash at the end of the night. Paid $1.25 per delivery compensation regardless of distance (guarantees a profit at the end of the night unless you drive a real gas guzzler). Relatively good tips compared to competing pizza delivery gigs due to the pizza being sold at higher prices and being a more "premium" product. Good opportunity to become a manager. Reliable time off request process as long as you give two weeks or more notice.
Cons
General lack of cordiality and respect towards employees exemplified by a strong sense that you're extremely replaceable. No free food or drinks - only half off during your shift and 10% off at all other times. TONS of food goes to waste due to mess ups or wrong orders, yet no food goes to the employees for fear of the cooks "gaming the system" and purposefully making mess ups so that they can take food home. This is a largely irrational fear, however, and is quite uncommon in the industry to say the least. Often one sees piping hot premium pizzas thrown out on a nightly basis. Ownership/management has irrational fears of employees "scaring" or offending customers. This is seen in the company's rather conservative policies towards hair, facial hair, and tattoos. Further more, policies such as not allowing employees to eat during their break in the restaurant unless they remove their uniforms (for fear of scaring off potential customers?) or allowing drivers to congregate outside the store exemplify a slightly, if unintentional, demeaning attitude towards the employees. This has arguably led to the high employee turnover rate.
