Pros

There are some good people. Relaxed atmosphere. Not strict. They won’t fire you.

Cons

Bad apples stay too long! No growth. Pay sucks. No 401k. Working remotely is not utilized correctly. Accounts distributed poorly. Management doesn’t even know who you are. CEO doesn’t care about employees, only his bottom line.

Pros

On the job training is helpful. Willing to work with you even if you have little knowledge and experience. Not much micro management (usually). Casual working environment (at times). Friendly coworkers.

Cons

Where to start. They pay you the absolute bare minimum for the industry even after years of training. No room for growth either. Old boomer executives who have no lives of their own and treat the company better than their own children and they expect you to do the same. Many of these executives are incompetent with technology yet you have to bend over backwards to make it work for them. You must drop EVERYTHING to help executives even after hours or on the weekend. Some of these people work late into Friday and Saturday night. Should also mention the rampant nepotism spreading across the entire company. You better jump to your feet the moment one of the relatives snaps their fingers or it’s your job on the line. Speaking of boomers. This company finds it extremely hard to get with the times. Forced 99% of employees to come in during peak covid. Only began to allow SOME employees to work from home beginning in 2022 because they were losing them to other companies with WFH and better salaries. Also, this company is very conservative. Having your own political view is fine, but so many of these people were covid deniers. Had them walk into my office not respecting personal space and even coughing all over the place. The person in charge of the safety department rolled their eyes when I told them I was vaccinated for covid. If this is something you agree with then go ahead, but just giving a warning for those that would not fit in here. The company also will do everything possible to save money. Raise? Gotta wait a year or two or threaten to quit with another offer even then they won’t match. End of the year bonus? Don’t make me laugh. The turn over is crazy here. They spend so much time training new employees instead of retaining them. They also use terrible software which is usually out of date. I assume this is to save money. But this still ends up being your responsibility in IT to make things work even though vendor support may be terrible or even non existent. Those at the top don’t care, they paid for this inferior technology to save money so you make the customer happy. So much more to say. If you’re willing to give it a shot that’s fine but get your experience and get out ASAP when you get the chance. Otherwise avoid this place at all costs.
