Pros

Best part is working with friendly coworkers, but that's to be expected at most jobs.

Cons

Worst part is the management staff, especially mid-level managers who are being recruited externally rather than promoting from within and are clueless about the operations, culture and politics. Managers generally micro-manage your time, from breaks to lunch. Frost prides itself in that "we're from here", however given the increasing amount of work sent offshore, plus the increasing number of foreign contractors working at the bank, the bank is becoming more like "were from here". I worked there as a web developer for 14 years and I experienced first-hand the decrease in morale among employees because of the inferior quality of work performed offshore. Most original development work is now done offshore while the local staff are left with maintaining the inferior code and fixing lots of bugs. I know offshoring work provides cheaper labor, but the increased time wasting in fixing bugs is tedious and expensive. Employee promotions are in title (different Officer titles) only and not an increase in salary.

Pros

Employee discounts. Pay depending on your department.

Cons

Too many employees that over over 70. They want Frost back to the good old days. Many racist people, no room for growth and the management is terrible. No career development. Managers get caught breaking the law & trying to set employees up to be fired it gets proven to HR nothing gets done. They make up rules with no actual backing for the processes they put in place. Currently seeing therapy due to this company. It’s a circus.

Pros

Opportunity for growth, IF you gain favor. There are some great managers and employees that have great morals, and gentle hearts. But there are MOST that go against the very core values Frost prides itself on.

Cons

Favortism is very high here. Most managers and employees promote drama and hearsay. Management will discipline you based completely on hearsay and not on facts. If a "favorite" employee has a problem with you then so does management and they let it be known. It feels like high school if you are on the consumer banking side.
