Pros

If you enjoy working with kids, the time you spend with the kids is about the only positive of this job.

Cons

*Staff are micromanaged in all aspects of their work day *Favoritism is a huge problem, if the director likes you, your job is basically guaranteed no matter how many times you mess up or endanger a child that's in your care. *Staff are overworked and underpaid. While I was there, people were so stressed out by their work load there were mini melt downs all the time. *Even though you're told there's training, there isn't any. Rules and regulations seen to change depending who you ask and who you are. *Finances seem to be an issue because paychecks often bounced or employees were told not to cash them for a certain amount of days after pay day. *Hours are inconsistent as families can last minute cancel the visit and the supervisor appointed to that family finds themselves off the clock until their next scheduled family. There is no offer to have the employees work on other things in order to keep their hours, even though there is plenty to keep them busy. *You can not trust anything you are told, by anyone. *The clinic itself is outdated, dirty and in mostly disrepair. The children's toys rarely get washed (they are sprayed with aeresol disenfectant that shouldn't be used on children's toys via the warning on the label), couches and slipcovers are dirty, ripped or broken.

Promised opportunity and upward mobility, but it really didn't happen

Pros

Most of my work colleagues were great. Offices were okay. They did recognize some national holidays, and employees did get some time off.

Cons

Salaries were low, benefits were non-existent. Management expected everything from employees but rarely rewarded staff with anything--not even a good word.

Pros

Management seems to be pretty solid.

Cons

They could definitely pay more and/or have more career opportunities.
