ambitious startup, arguably one step away from being a sinking ship
Pros
1) the vast majority of people working here are talented, friendly, and nice to be around; 2) London office in central location, but there is a very practical and relaxed approach to remote working; 3) the tech you're working on is interesting and some projects are uniquely valuable experiences; 4) most departments offer opportunities for growth; 5) benefits offer has improved it's still not perfect, but decent
Cons
1) it's essentially a startup at the mercy of bigger market forces: they will over-hire and set unrealistic targets to get better funding, and then regret it when they don't meet expectations; 2) you can't trust a word of what the senior mgmt and CEO say (especially the CEO), because they're either clearly two-faced, or can just be forced by the Board to do the opposite of what they preach, whenever needed; 3) the product is clunky and difficult to use, nearly impossible to estimate resources for correctly, rarely what the client actually wants or needs, it's also extremely expensive and very few companies can afford to pay for it; 4) some senior managers expect their teams to do (unpaid) overtime without complaining much, but then obviously say that work/life balance is important; 5) whole business hanging by a thread, counting on a whale client to appear or a big business to buy them out
