Pros

I loved my clients and since leaving the company have kept great relationships and connections with them!

Cons

During my time at Fundraising Direct I felt that the employees were extremely undervalued. The management expects you to work over-time hours on a regular basis with zero compensation or recognition. There are constant promises to make improvements or changes within the company that are never fulfilled. The company attempts to be innovative with their marketing strategies and to take on new clients and grow portfolios however they do not have the income to hire new employees so current staff is overworked and underpaid. The morale while I was there was extremely low and there was a very high turnover rate. This place is SO not worth the time or energy.

Pros

The unicef campaign is good and if you enjoy working for charities then it's good but they will keep you on the same campaign for fare two long until you hate it!!

Cons

Favoritism, poor management, demotivating, coaches are hired who just starting working there and lack skills as a fundraiser and are fare to young and inexpierenced, the campaign managers are very rude and pick favourites, they keep you on the same campaign for months on end and they don't care about your mental health,it is a toxic work environment, demoralizing, the kick offs are negative, there is no praise and the employees are overworked and not appreciated while the campaign mangers sit there all day and do nothing but go on msn and play on there phones. The place is a joke and a toxic environment to work in. No one should work there because it is all based on favoritism and the campaign managers are so lazy and want you to work hard and make pledges all day while they sit there doing literally nothing. Even one of them said he would call out on a campaign to see how difficult it was but never did. They should not have this job as all they do is use favoritism.A top performer in the call center who had been there for over a year was not given a second interview as coach but they hired people who had been there for a few months if any and have not done all the campaigns and lack expirence. The coaches aren't good fundraisers they can't get pledges if there life depending on it but in the eyes of the campaign managers they are just so amazing. A very lauphable ridiculous place. You don't want to work there because if you are the top performer but not a favourite they don't care and won't promote you or appreciate your hard work. The campaign managers are cruel and lack compassion, understanding and communication skills they should not have those positions. The call center is going to do badly as they just hired 5 coaches 3 of whom are inexpierenced and not even good fundraisers they can't get pledges but yet they are there to coach people on how to perform and get pledges. The place is going down hill. Do not work there you'll regreat it!!

Thank you for your feedback. If you did feel strongly about our decision not to promote you to coach we were very willing to sit down and discuss it further. I am sorry that you felt that you should leave instead. We purely promote people based upon meritocratic principles and I apologise if the reasons for you not being successful in your application for a coaching role were not explained to you adequately. However, we wish you all the best in your future

Pros

Flexible schedule, good if you are a student and the location is great. Accepts bilingual or just English. You get team night outs which is great.

Cons

No commissions and bonuses are hardly ever given. Same as any telemarketing job except this is fundraising and it is basically warm calling so don't expect much. Work environment is unclean with broken equipments
