Pros

Nobody stays in the office past 5pm, usually earlier. The salary was ok.

Cons

I will try to outline the many, many problems with this company in a professional tone, but this was the worst, most draining and defeating experience I’ve ever had. I would never recommend this place. Nearly all issues with working at Fusion stem from a transition in leadership from the founder that happened in the last 10ish years. They eliminated most of the office bonding activities and there is very little employee recognition so morale is seriously depleted as a result. Most employees have been at the company for decades and constantly remark that the office “didn’t used to be like this” but they feel stuck and cannot leave for one reason or another. Fusion’s clientele largely consists of provider groups who began working with the company under previous management and stay out of loyalty. Their accounts are severely mismanaged, there are issues with data storage and integrity and professionalism is nonexistent. Data will go missing, numbers will change randomly and nobody will be able to tell you what’s correct. Before accepting an offer here, think carefully about whether you can handle a culture that is both isolating and deeply problematic. Leadership speaks freely about their (negative) opinions regarding sexuality and gender identity. HR was made aware of an instance where senior employees were mocking a transgender client and making graphic commentary about the client’s transition and did nothing about it because “[the employees] were from a different generation.” There were multiple instances where employees wore right-wing campaign memorabilia/had framed photos of far-right politicians in their cubicles. In one instance, an employee entered the office the day before an election and shouted “One more day until we drain the swamp!” Everyone is entitled to their beliefs, but just a word of caution to LGBTQ folks (like myself)—this is not an environment where you will be able to comfortably express yourself. All in all, Fusion is highly disorganized and offers very little support to new employees. The goalpost was constantly changing and you were expected to anticipate their needs beyond what is reasonable. You’re often left scrambling to redo all of your work hours before a client presentation because of some unknown expectation or error with the database that is entirely beyond your control. Additionally, the office itself is a health hazard. At one point I was told that we could not renovate the existing office because there was mold in the walls that would be exposed, and there is a significant bug infestation in the office kitchen. The experience was bad enough that after leaving, I filed formal complaints. I can pretty much guarantee you’d be happier literally anywhere else.
