Weirdos, cliques, snobs and a condescending management team

Pros

None, but since it requires 5 word minimum, I will say I met 1 or 2 good people (not in my same department). I am sure there are more people, but the "Fear" culture makes good people to find as they may be hiding and fearful to talk.

Cons

I have worked for many large "great" companies with good leaders and I was disappointed to find that GL homes is misrepresented by the feedback here. This was my worst experience. The GL Homes culture is toxic, starting with a management team who instills fear into long term employees and makes employees believe that they are well paid with good bonus and benefits. Sadly, these employees do not realize that good bonus and benefits can be found in other great companies, and at cheaper cost to the employees. Nothing stellar here. Also, employees are complacent and fearful of lay-offs. Long-time employees are fearful of new employees, so they have exclusive cliques which they term "family". But the cliques are toxic because they whisper behind your backs and say something different to your face. You can not trust anyone.

Pros

Land holdings, public reputation (image is deceiving)

Cons

Sales management with no Sales ability, serious lack of training and expected goals, no accountability, serious lack of "Team" spirit (which they advertise to expect but does not exist)
