I had the unfortunate experience of working at GAC Motors, and I feel compelled to share my honest feedback. One of the most significant issues I encountered was the delay in salary payments. It was disheartening to work for an entire month and then have to wait until the 15th still dragging till on the 25th or later of the following month to receive payment for the previous month’s work. Additionally, the work environment was marred by various issues, including incidents of harassment, hostility among coworkers and managers, frequent shouting, and demeaning behavior towards the staff. There was a pervasive sense of pressure on staff to meet unrealistic delivery targets, which often led to stressful working conditions. Furthermore, it came to my attention that there were problems with timely payment to vendors, which adversely affected the company’s relationships with external partners. Frequent staff replacements were constant as many would not take the treatment offered. Overall, my time at GAC Motors felt like a form of mistreatment and, at times, verged on what could be described as a form of modern-day workplace slavery.
