A paycheck and medical benefits...thats all.

Cons

Blantant favoritism based on personal non work related performance; negative environment that does not respect employees, particularly women. Unless youre absolutely desperate, keep job searching.

Easy 8 hour day, great coworkers, diverse employees, work is not overwhelming, good job experience if you are just getting out of college, flexible

I can only speak to the Benefits and Compensation department, but the biggest con is by far the leadership, or lack thereof. Individuals were not valued at all. Favoritism and sexism was definitely an issue, as only male pets were trusted and everyone else was neglected. Our boss would find a way to buy the loyalty of certain employees by favoriting them, and this was his way of making them too scared to ever leave the job. And when people did choose to leave, he selfishly guilt tripped them and tore them down. There was also blatant disrespect towards managers that he wasn't happy with. There was a salary freeze this year (which was in the hands of the executives) but we were still supposed to get reviews, which did not happen. Goes to show our boss did not care about our professional growth or goals. We were treated like children when it came to the "rules". There was far too much accommodation to the people in the department with negative energy that were constantly "snitching" on others and fostering a bad environment/tension among the department. He did not know how to directly address the specific people with the problem but rather reprimanded us as a group. Separate from leadership, the biggest con would be no place to move up. There are no measures or plans in place to help employees grow, simply because there's no room for it. And because there's no room to grow in the company, your salary and PTO also have no room to grow.
