1. Toxic and Insecure Middle Management: Team leads here operate like bullies rather than mentors. They do zero actual work, merely assign tasks to team members, and then take full credit for the output while collecting hefty paychecks. Insecure leads view strong, competent employees as threats and actively work to sabotage their careers by giving false, negative feedback to upper management.
2. Harassment and Unsafe Environment for Women: There is absolutely no diversity or genuine inclusivity. Female employees are routinely targeted and subjected to severe mental harassment. Team leads frequently resort to shouting, making derogatory comments, and publicly humiliating individuals in front of the team to destroy their credibility. Many stay quiet simply to save their jobs out of fear of retaliation.
3. Severe Regional Bias and Politics: The workplace is heavily divided by regional politics. There is a clear, organized bias against North Indian employees, who are frequently thrown under the bus. Certain regional cliques support only each other and will collectively complain about individuals outside their group, intentionally feeding false information to managers to force those employees out of the team.
4. Retaliation and Weaponized PIPs: If you speak up or show strong potential, you become a target. Management will systematically stop assigning you good work, deny you hikes and promotions, intentionally nitpick to find fabricated mistakes, and eventually put you on a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) to force a resignation. The mental toll this takes is devastating.
5. Clueless Higher Management: Upper management is completely disconnected from reality. Managers do not join stand-ups and have no idea what individual contributors are actually doing. They blindly trust the feedback of toxic team leads without verifying the facts. For example, a single team lead is responsible for the resignation of at least 7 employees, yet upper management remains blind to the issue and keeps him in power.
6. Zero Collaborative Culture: There is no growth mindset here. Teamwork is non-existent, and the culture rewards those who pull others down. Ironically, the most political and uncollaborative people are the ones who get promoted.
