      Pros

      *Smart folks, if you can smell the good ones from the bad ones *Fun product (It's GIFs!) *Lots of internal opportunities and movement. If you're talented, you can move between departments and teams.

      Cons

      *Weird culture to navigate if you're a newcomer *Company strategy is effectively a single ad product that no one wants *Baffling leadership decisions, including elevating leaders with multiple complaints + record of sloppy work *Low morale *If you need your competitor's API to go kaput to survive as a company...

      - It was a great place to work before it was acquired by Shutterstock - Depending on who you work with – great people

      Cons

      - Its been a mess post acquisition, so many leadership shifts - There are some job huggers there that arguably don't do much - I don't think they know what they're doing or how to make money so their solution was to lay off people

      * was a great place to work until shutterstock acquistion * remaining colleagues that are there are smart and great to work with

      Cons

      * all the engineering leaders that left are replaced with shutterstock middle management team that knows nothing about the company or engineering and makes terrible decisions * terrible benefits that were replaced after the acquisition. any good pay was grandfathered in before the acquisition. new joiners will not get anything equivalent to what it was.
