Poor University with lot of cast politics and nonsense. The students will learn about castes alone.

Only old private university for people of andhra. Other stuff is nothing big deal.

Cons

Faculty and management is biased and leads to poor management. Lot of money will be spent for nothing.

Worst University ever for an IIT/IIM PhD

Pros

Probably the only pro is it's a sea-facing university. Rushikonda Beach is located opposite to the main gate of the institute.

Cons

There are many cons: 1. The management would like to achieve everything at par with world-class level but can't increase faculty's salary by even 5% in a year. 2. Too much racism and inner politics to sideline the outsider (non-Telugu) faculty. 3. Discriminating against the meritorious faculty to engage him/her more in non-teaching administrative responsibilities. 4. The professional environment is full of dumb people. 5. If they pay you even 5k extra, they expect you to perform 3 times more!

Cons

There is no job security in GITAM bengaluru campus. Faculty terminated any time and relieved immediately. Faculty treated like anything, harassed particularly female faculty by new Pro Vice chancellor. He is very close to management. If faculty complaint to management also no use.
