they approve your time off as if they were doing you a favor, not as if you had earned it. managers have favorites, micromanage and don't recognize employee's successes instead they set you up for failure so that they can have the opportunity to find your faults. managers are not guides or people to learn from. everyone is out for themselves, even the managers who will never have your back. all they way to HR, they will not be neutral if you have an issue with someone. if you're line staff, the folks who deal with the clients, you're always overworked and underpaid, not the same case with managers who manage their time as they please and arrive to work whenever they feel like it.
