Pros

The families and clients are the only good part of this job.

Cons

Where to start? The CEO is unstable and narcissistic. She plays favorites and has gone through a revolving door of friends and family members in upper level positions; often they quit with no notice and under bad circumstances. The supervisors and BCBAs are mostly absent and cannot help or address behavioral issues, leaving for the therapist isolated and without help. There are rarely materials for goals and they do the bare minimum for clients as well as staff. Do not work here if you need a paycheck. They bounce more often than not and then payroll and CEO are dodgy and act like it's anyone's fault except their own that they can't manage their bank account. Besides writing bad checks, they are often late. And then they bounce. Pretty horrrific for those who have rent to pay. I got a sarcastic "you're welcome" when I went to pick up a new check to replace the bad one they wrote me. Oh and that one wouldn't go through either. Seriously, stay away from this place, as an employee and a client. These jobs are in high demand, go to a better company with a less toxic environment. Here you will just get yelled at by the unstable CEO as they avoid paying you. As if this was not enough, the office staff talks about all the employee's private business and makes fun of them. Really unprofessional. I'm not sure how they are still in business.

Pros

-The kids and families are great to work with! -BT level staff and some BCBAs are great to work alongside

Cons

-it’s a hostile workplace environment. All the other review are so true, unfortunately. The CEO is so rude to her staff, is often rolling her eyes at everything and acts as if she’s better than everyone. She’s also rude and yells at clients and families. I have no idea how she’s managed to stay in business this long with her unprofessional attitude. -no work life balance: there’s no PTO, no holidays off, you’re expected to work 24/7 like the CEO -no programming based off your clinical competence: reports, goals, lesson targets , etc, all have to be written the CEOs way otherwise she gives you a hard time about it -staff meetings/company values feel forced: the CEO goes hard on company values, and when reading them aloud (every meeting might I add), she will call you out in front of everybody to repeat it and say it with emphasis/meaning/love for the values (it feels so forced and uncomfortable - if you’re shy or having a quieter voice, it’s not fun at all) -the CEO: she’s an awful human being to be around. She is involved in every single aspect of the company which makes it hard because she is often forgetful day to day and will often change her mind about things day to day. She is also rude and deameaning in most encounters and will make you feel horrible about herself.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We have one of the lowest billable hour commitments compared to our competitors, and provide full-time clinical supervisors with unlimited PTO given that the billable hours requirement is still met (or made up). Additionally, we do offer 14 paid holidays off for salary employees. Our CEO currently serves two positions - one as the CEO and one as a regional director. She is committed to providing direct clinical care, and shares her 20+ years in the field with the staff. She is also committed to making an impact by sharing her experience and while not reading every single report, she is frequently asked to consult on cases with other regional directors, BCBAs and mid-levels as is best-practice in the field of ABA. It is unfortunate that you had felt as though our values are forced, as our Mission, Vision and Values team along with our Strategic Planning team have spent considerable amount of time creating a culture that aligns to these values. They help us engage with our community, and allow us to make an impact in the lives of our clients. Should you wish to discuss any further concerns or continue the dialogue about your experience, please feel free to reach out to our HR team (hr@goalsforautism.com) or our Ethics Committee (ethics@goalsforautism.com). Sincerely, GOALS for Autism, Inc.
