Just a sad place to work at. Don't stay here long.
Pros
-Flexible hours -You can work very late which is nice to make extra money after class -Very laid back atmosphere regarding dress code/eating/breaks -You can do homework/eat when it gets slow -Walking distance to UNT -Aaron Weil was my supervisor when I was there and he was cool and understanding
Cons
-Very strict rules about sticking to a script while on the phone which gets aggravating -Minimum wage -Dirty work areas -Extremely outdated computers/head sets -Fast paced training -Repetitive same thing every day -Not rewarding -Strict no cell phone rule -Work here only as you find a better place to work at. -Use your experience working here to motivate you to try VERY hard in school to get out and get an amazing rewarding high paying job. I repeat, do not stay here too long. About me: I worked here for around 7 months and I wish I would have worked there less. It makes me sad because there are people there (not management) who have been working there for YEARS still making minimum wage with a college degree. I worked here because my car wasn't very reliable and it was walking distance to UNT. My entire experience while working there was just bland and sad. GTI is a very gloomy place to work at. No team work or anything like that so it's just you on the phone receiving and making calls the entire time. You'll always keep looking at the clock wishing it was already time to be off. I will say it kept me afloat with paying for rent/food/gas but I had to work many hours to make it because my wage was just 7.75. It looks ok on a resume so that's good but make sure you move on fast when you find a better place to work at. Working here made me try very hard in school to do well and graduate to work at a better place so I am thankful for that. Comparing GTI to my current work place is like comparing dog food to a high end steak.
