      Trouble on the water

      Good products, multiple lines, excellent front line staff, customer & tech service above average, opportunity to grow if supported by management,

      Cons

      No support from upper management Sales VP, stuck in the past with marketing & support materials, management says one thing and does another, soft market right now (commercial coatings), Core values posted but not really followed,

      Could be a good company - need to deal with growing pains

      Pros

      This is a family owned business and very personal to the CEO. My experience was that the CEO expressed genuine care and concern for every employee in the organization. Innovative product development and a strong market have led to high growth in recent years.

      Cons

      Growth is a difficult thing for a small company to manage. Management has to be prepared to continually evaluate processes, procedures and communications to make sure the organization can scale in an integrated and efficient manner. I don't see that here - classic 'silo' organization in many respects.

      Recent changes in some of Gaco’s core markets have forced us to make difficult decisions in order to meet the needs of our customers going forward. The CEO and the Executive Leadership Team work together and ask for input from sales management to ensure that the most pragmatic and effective decisions are made to maintain sustainability and growth at Gaco. Though some decisions arrived upon are difficult, much care and thought is exercised to ensure that the end result of any decision is the right decision in the company’s best interest.

      Good things come to an end

      Pros

      Aggressive company that has been growing nicely for 5 years. Pays employees well. Hired some great talent.

      Cons

      Have "Core Values" that they preach but do not exercise. Does not truly value their employees. Owner is very arrogant. Executive Leadership does not value sales team input. Decisions are reactive. Sales leader runs a militant style regime. The wheels are falling off this cart.

Members of the Executive Leadership Team represent all divisions of the company and they consult with their teams to ensure that matters are addressed fairly and that decisions ultimately are in the company’s and employee's best interest.
