Pros

You can come and go, most people work from home looking after their children and picking them up from school, you can go and do your errands and take your latop with you and say you are working. This is acceptable and offices are great. Senior management go and work from home in the afternoon to look after their children. All great if you have those needs.

Cons

Do not be misled by appearances. The company presents itself as employee-friendly with perks like free sandwiches and carbs in the form of breakfast/lunch once a week to keep the workers happy, but these superficial benefits mask a far deeper cultural problem. In addition, pay is low comared with the rest of the industry. The management team lacks dynamism, innovation, and strong leadership. Many individuals in C-level or senior management positions appear to hold those roles simply because they have been with the company for a long time, rather than because of talent or capability, so they have grown into roles they are not suitable for. They have no eole skills. This has created a culture of stagnation and nepotism, where talent and competence is not valued. There is also a troubling history of employees being fired abruptly and without professionalism becuuase money is mismanaged and hiring and firing is made without any plan. This has happened repeatedly over the years and creates a climate of fear and insecurity among staff. Many long-term employees keep their heads down and protect their own positions by reporting gossip from colleagues to senior management. Instead of encouraging teamwork and transparency, the culture rewards internal politics, gossip, and favouritism. For a company that markets itself as an excellent employer and a champion of wellbeing, the reality behind the scenes feels very different. There is little respect for genuine talent, fresh ideas, or employee growth. All that glitters is not gold. Behind the polished image and free high carb snacks is a workplace culture that many employees may find disappointing and unhealthy. Unfortunately, there is little respect for genuine talent or fresh ideas. Internal gossip and snitching are common, especially among long-standing employees who align themselves closely with management. Instead of collaboration and growth, the environment often feels political and toxic. All that glitters is not gold. Behind the polished image and office perks is a workplace culture that many employees may find disappointing and unhealthy.
