      Not bad salary. International well known company.

      Cons

      Staffs are not as nice and friendly as you would thought as a customer there. Two faced. Very small team. Not supportive. Expect you to know everything!

      I worked at Gap part-time for more than a year

      Pros

      Like the image and the flexible hours. People were very friendly and considerate. Always willing to socialise a bit.

      Cons

      Local (in store) management was a bit of a joke. Nice people but no real commercial awareness. I suspect if GAP knew the full extent of this they'd be mortified.

      Advice to Management

      Get pro's to run your local retail stores. Obviously this will mean upping pay/ providing other incentives, but you need good talent on the ground.

          Operationally the place is... sort of a train wreck. The biggest problem is technology. On any given day you will have to navigate 3-4 different operating systems, every store is a revolving door of device replacements, there are about 15 different reports to look at at any given time to get a clear overview of the business all of which update on different days, registers losing track of cash, strange unexplained payroll...

          Advice to Management

          Cut the dog and pony show “visits”. If you think for one second a store that invested 300 hours for a 30 minute walk-through is at all an accurate representation of the fleet you’re tragically mistaken. Re-inventing the wheel won’t fix product issues nor will mindlessly pushing out more CC’s. Cut the noise at the registers, customers are walking out daily because of unnecessary lines.
