Pros

None and I really mean not a one!

Cons

Make you sign on as an independent contractor where you end up having to shell out a ton of money out of your own pocket and expense it. Expenses checks take forever and they always find a way to cheat you out of something. They make you get a crazy two million dollar umbrella policy to so they can wash their hands of any liability. Management is beyond clueless. Owners are self loathing and egotistical and could care less about any of the sales force who are lining their pockets. Declining commission, the more you sell the more you get penalized so most of the reps are content with the status quo resulting in stagnant growth and a declining market share. GC brand name has become a joke in the industry. They want growth but provide the sales force with absolutely nothing. Worst company I ever worked for. Benefits are horrible and the commission plan is one of the lowest in the industry. Products and services are over priced and not competitive. They use dinosaur technology and have zero R&D.

Pros

You function very independently. The online resources are useful as they make up for the lack of support from the product managers. There's a desire in the Company DNA to be great, it's just held back by all the cancer. I stick around because I've built a nice business up and I'm not reliant at all on Corporate other than to have the drums show up on time.

Cons

Healthcare costs are ridiculously high at over $1,000 per month. You can make more elsewhere, but they tend not to fire people. Yet, I've seen some real character assassinations over the years. The good thing is most moved on to better lives and jobs so they weren't harmed other than they didn't deserve the treatment they got. Oh, and the recent positive reviews have been paid for. Little bonuses to people who write them. They are also no longer a national company. i know five States where they've given up having sales personnel. Corporate accounts hasn't won an RFP, ever.

Pros

Overpriced products can be had for less money elsewhere.

Cons

Weekly roll up calls on Monday mornings-goading employees to predict amount of sales they expect for the week. Great motivator, NOT! Poor compensation plan. If they do offer a salary, it is of a declining nature. Ex: starts at $2,000 month, after 6 months declines to $1600, six months thereafter down to $1200... Great motivator. other companies pay sign-on bonuses... Not the case with these cheapskates. ALSO! If a client becomes delinquent, they dock the salesperson the entire commission. All while expecting sales person to attempt collection of the invoice. This is not a joke seriously! Also expect people to take online training classes-without pay after hours! If you stayed home to take classes, you have no income potential, but when you go to work each day, they think it is reasonable to demand computer classes after work.
