Pros

Immediate work team was fantastic. Real people who were great to talk with, very helpful, kind (in most cases). They would listen to you and jump in to help, whenever needed. It's also fairly well-paying, compared to similar jobs in the area. In certain seasons, they're so desperate for help that you'll start working within days of applying. The few times I had 3 days off (the theoretical 4 on, 3 off workweek), that was great--plenty of time to physically recover. My immediate supervisor was pretty good, too. Finally, I saw people of all genders, sexual orientation, races, and religions there. It's not a "good old boys" environment by any means. There were a number of trans employees, and I didn't see anyone even bat an eye. So, at least for the outside, it did feel inclusive.

Cons

A massive, dehumanizing factory tucked away in the back of clean, orderly tech-oriented Redmond, WA. If you've never worked in a factory, you might be unprepared for this. It's an actual factory on the scale of a small vehicle manufacturing plant (and, really, these are vehicles). Bare minimum paid breaks (a generous 10 minutes in the afternoon). An unclear mandatory OT Friday policy that doesn't let you plan anything in your life. Grueling 10 hour, 4 days on / 3 days off work weeks, which sounds good until you find out that those 10 hour days often stretch to 11 or 12 hours. Also, you barely get home and have dinner before you need to hit the pillow because you need to get up at 4 am the next day. It's a brutal job that is not for the faint of heart.
