Pros

Good place to work decent balance of work and social life. Management was helpful, great learning experience if you have just gradauted from college.

Cons

Not much potential for career growth, slow paced which is good if you are still in school. Some of your co-workers require alot of baby sitting.

Pros

The benefirts are very good, Health insurance, 401K, time off, holidays, etc. Mr. Duvall has recently taken steps to bring in new management for the insurance company. My only hope is that it is not too little too late.

Cons

Salaries are not comparable with others iin the field, no one who ultimately will make decisions. Management is a bunch of good ole boys who don't have a clue how to be managers. They are extremely overpaid and don't want to rock the boat by thinking!! The only employees left are those that are too old to go elsewhere or too dumb. All the good agents have left to go elsewhere.

Pretty Good place to work

Pros

The do have values as a company - and they have a good moral and ethical base. Working conditions are good and benefits are great

Cons

Automation challenged - management stopped in place for about 25 years and have only recently started to make up ground. Lost marketshare also. Finally - politics from farmers who want to control the insurance company and manipulate it to generate memberships in the non-profit side are the biggest threat to the long term viability of this company.
