Lack of planning/strategy: There is a lot of fire fighting rather than a clear vision forward.
Lack of transparency/poor communication: senior managers are unaware of what is going on at times, and are taken by surprise with certain decisions/shifts.
Culture of blame: there is a lot of talk about accountability, but there is a lot of “throwing under the bus” maneuvers.
Lack of opportunities/recognition: extremely cliquish, no performance review system, career (and in fact employment) is at the whim of the CEO.
Lack of Benefits; there are no standard benefits offered, even basics like health insurance. When they are offered, they are random and at the whims of the owner.
