It’s a great place to create, experiment, build a network, and take on more ownership than you’d get at an equivalent position anywhere else. Staff who are hungry for impact and don’t shy away from responsibility will thrive. The organization is small but scrappy, and consistently punches above its weight – delivering at the level of nonprofits 5x its size. Leadership knows how to seize opportunities and prioritize results over process and vanity metrics. Employees at every level are given a real voice in the strategy and direction of the work, which has helped GZ stay nimble and avoid the stale rut that usually hits most nonprofits at their 10-year mark. Health care, vacation, retirement benefits, fringe benefits, and training opportunities are better than I’ve seen anywhere else.
