I worked at GoPro full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great and supportive team environment, flexible policies, free products and good discounts, free snacks, comfortable and good work place and facilities, good work life balance.

    Cons

Company is in a serious down time.
Sense of significant insecurity in recent years as the company is laying off many people.

    Advice to Management

Hope they have learnt some lessons from mistakes they made during these years. The whole company burnt out too much money and now put itself to a terrible situation. They really need some clear vision about this industry.

I have been working at GoPro full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There were some true superstars at GoPro. They are all gone now. It is safe to say that anyone who could find a new job, did. What remains now are mediocre yes-men who are running the company into a ditch.

    Cons

Men only get promoted. There are so many incompetent men with the title of Vice President while the women doing all the work are directors. GoPro would be a valuable, innovative company today if women were in the driver's seat. But the misogynists, the ignorant, and the bros are in control on every team. Women are nowhere to be found.

    Advice to Management

Stop taking away benefits from your employees while publicly stating that you're trying to retain them.

Promote women. No really, promote women.

    I worked at GoPro full-time

    Pros

Was the brand of all brands. Early days were one cash infused adventure after another. The golden goose simply couldn’t lay eggs fast enough.

    Cons

Inability to scale. Fast hiring and extremely low employee moral caused the machine to stall and choke on its own bile. One too many selfie on his private jet or yatch by the uncomfortably “too tan” leader.

    Advice to Management

Sell now while you can still get $5 on your investment.
