Pros

The team here is very diverse in their experience and open to help others succeed. Management is very approachable and transparent, which is refreshing. Work varies frequently which keeps things from getting boring. Flexibility is there as long as you perform

Cons

Benefits are representative of a small company

Pros

Coworkers are generally friendly and good office environment. Great work life balance. Really great spot if you can take a big pay cut to trade for good work life balance. If you need to save money, or have bills to pay, not so much.

Cons

Pay is not competitive, lots of turnover. “Old Guard” mentality on a lot of things, which makes the company stagnant. Lots of “bait and switch” in terms of pay and benefits. Healthcare plans got changed with no notice and were effectively a pay cut for many people (this benefits the business financially). Nothing was done to right that pay cut for those impacted. Bad pay bands for titles, and they keep people below fair titles. Several of their “star performers” who had been around several years running small design projects and can’t even get a senior title (with several years more experience than Goddard’s own job descriptions). Don’t be surprised if you apply for a title and they offer you a level below even if you far exceed the requirements for the role.

Goddard Technologies Response

We stand by the fact that we’ve made thoughtful, intentional decisions to support Goddard’s growth and long-term success. As the company evolves, we recognize that change, especially to long-standing practices, can feel sudden, particularly for those who have been with us through various phases of our journey. These changes are not reactive but necessary steps to ensure we’re building a business that meets today’s needs and prepares us for the future. We’re focused on creating fairer processes, improving communication, and strengthening the link between contributions, recognition, and career development across the company. While not every decision may resonate immediately, we are confident in the direction we’re headed and remain committed to a workplace that values its people and drives shared success.

Pros

Company is very transparent with decisions and current developments. They have quarterly meetings that show the employees all of the company progress in that time. The management break down is very clear and managers are very responsive to feedback. They truly value work life balance and ensure that employees are not being overworked by clients.

Cons

Although it’s a consulting firm, project diversity is not their strong suit. You will likely be placed with one of their few long term clients and that is all you may see for your entire time of employment with Goddard. While it creates stability for a consultancy, if you are looking for a fast paced environment with the opportunity for exposure to multiple projects and areas, Goddard most likely isn’t the place for you. It can feel more like a staffing firm than a design consultancy at times.
