Pros

loved everyone that I worked with. learned a lot from the entire team at the time I was there.

Cons

what I was promised was not what I got. promised: unlimited PTO, commuter benefits, gym reimbursement. what I got: tracked PTO (essentially capped at two weeks), no true PTO as you were expected to respond to emails, slack messages, and phone calls while you were on "PTO", no commuter benefits, $5 off equinox (lol). other cons: worked 14 hour days often, worked weekends. often had meetings discussing issues that led to no resolution. preferential treatment to certain individuals/teams. gaslighting when conveying your feelings to management. promises that things will get better when they never did. aggressive treatment from HR and management after putting in notice.

A lot has changed at GoodTime. We are constantly making an effort to make things better for our team. I think there are some misrepresentations here as our PTO is 4 weeks plus an end of year shut down for a week. I also believe some people feel their own pressure to answer emails, phone calls and slack message when on PTO. I would have recommended unplugging and that would have been in your right to do so. Also, I think aggressive treatment is a misunderstanding and/or misrepresentation of what HR or our management team is doing. We truly want to understand and encourage people to stay as we value the contributions of our team members.

Pros

Nice co-workers. (Had to type 5 words)

Cons

Your greatest capital in an organization would be your human capital. The CEO is not onboard with that concept and clear to see via her actions in leadership, it is all about control and new employees must go through ridiculous initiation rituals before being trusted to do their jobs, if ever. An organization "kiss of death" = Chief Product Officer and CEO are married.

Sorry you had this experience. We agree that our greatest assets are our people. Our CEO takes feedback so seriously and the entire leadership team is working on growing more every day. Thanks for giving us these thoughts and if you'd like to share more, holler at hr@goodtime.io. A lot has changed since you were here we believe.

Pros

-Intelligent people in product and marketing who are a pleasure to work with

Cons

-Stubborn, won't change mentality in certain teams which has negatively impacted both performance and comfort of employees -Have seen people crying from stress and from peer pressure -No clear transparency on goals, milestones and sudden, abrupt changes in strategy. Lack of mentorship and check-ins from executive/senior staff -Low salary -gaslighting is a common tactic, as another person mentioned. -terms mentioned in offer letter were not met
