Pros
- Great location - Nice restaurants nearby - Parking
Cons
Where do I start? - not allowed Wi-Fi access - not allowed to charge your phone anywhere - "personal browsing" is frowned upon, even just checking your gmail, which is mainly what I got fired for - only 30 minutes for lunch (but I always took an hour anyway and no one noticed) - low pay - expensive insurance - micromanagement - nepotism (one of my co workers was my supervisor's brother, and the CEO straight up told me in a lunch that he got his first promotion when he married the boss' daughter and that he hired some of his in-laws) The culture is too conservative and outdated. And your coworkers will snitch on you for the dumbest things and they are encouraged to do so. My manager straight up told me,"this is a conservative work environment and people are always watching you." You have 90 days to "prove yourself" or they will kick you out. Any small things they see they will write it down, date it, and discuss it with you in your quarterly meeting. The CEO walks around almost every morning and goes to everyone's desk to secretly check on them, under the guise of an innocent "Good Morning!". He passes by for 1.5 seconds and if he sees something he doesn't like, he will tell your manager/supervisor, who will then have a whole meeting with you about it. It's demoralizing, because my supervisor always praised my work for being well done and on time, so it was never my work or work ethic, i just couldn't blend in. Hard to blend in everyone is either old or white or both. Mostly both.
