Pros

Free Bread, Breakfast. Samples etc.

Cons

No training No Culture No strategy No development If you have an ounce of talent then my suggestion is to avoid Goodman Fielder. Simply look elsewhere, otherwise it will dawn on you in a year that this advice was prudent and your talent will be extinguished. This company is so full of dead fish it's rotting from within A boys club culture with little skill and little empathy they are hazardly hopeless. Middle management suffer from cognitive dissonance , tell staff one thing then bow down to superiors to make there own lives easier. Old men hanging on until retirement. Vanilla products with no go to market strategy. There is no such thing as strategy in fact ,it changes so often than you become so confused you are ineffective. Literally zero training. This has to be the worst training organisation I've ever been involved with. They seriously haven't a clue. A performance review system which is so blurred you will be screwed over by faceless men and women who have never met you. A salary saving strategy. I would say they pay decently. That's the only saving grace. So if youre inclined to work for a pay cheque and that's it. Sure Goodman Fielder is great. But if you're not you'll end up like the droves of people resigning.

Pros

You get paid, that’s it!

Cons

- No focus - No Growth plans - No accountability - No communication - No strategy - No leaders, just managers They employ you for your ideas and new blood, however they undermine all you do. They continue to do the same thing and expect different results, insane! Very reactive organisation, not proactive. Egos are big here, zero emotional intelligence and they don’t care who they kick on the way to the top. If you have a pulse, you’ll get the job, if you’re breathing you’ll get a promotion. It’s a toxic swamp!

Very uncertain times and unstable company

Pros

- Cruisey atmosphere and free breakfast

Cons

- Poor management, no direction and no leadership: management doesn’t even talk to you or give you a monthly update on the business. - No development of people, despite the “Grow Plan” HR nonsense they promote once a year. Does not exist in reality. - So difficult to build rapport and a relationship with anyone there: I suppose everybody around you feels like they’re on shaky ground themselves and no one knows what they’re doing so I don’t blame them. - No culture: so quiet in there you could hear a pin drop, and no one goes for lunch. Completely anti social. Shocker of an environment and no sense of belonging. - Am I or ain’t I?: you get in there and you do probably 10% of the job they described to you in the JD or interview. - You will not feel like you are growing as a person nor learning anything that you can take with you. - No recognition of your value add or contribution to the function despite there being clear evidence that you have made a difference!!!
