Pros

Company has a relaxed dress code. Company culture speaks to many things that seem like they would create an excellent place to work.

Cons

Although company culture speaks to excellent things, my location was terrible at acting upon it. Culture speaks to work-life balance. Before starting, I asked about the type of hours worked, and was told it's a 45 hour work week most of the year and 55 to 60 during the holidays. I worked no less than 55 before the holidays and no less than 75 once November arrived. Asking to leave by a certain time, even two hours past the scheduled end of your shift has resulted in my commitment to the organization being questioned. I once trying to ask off to a child's funeral, which after pleading, could only get off for three hours in the middle of the day, and having to make up that time afterwards, because it was "a truck day". The same goes with regular, hourly employees who daily were forced to stay 1 to 3 hours past the end of their scheduled shifts because they were not allowed adequate time to complete cleaning up their areas. The company culture also speaks to "trust" and "happiness". The most egregious issues at my location stemmed from the poor attitude other members of management had toward employees. Reprimanding in front of customers and other employees, name calling, condescending behavior, etc. have led to many employees quitting within two weeks of starting. This has been reported on multiple occasions and nothing came of it.I hope the employees there are able to find decent employment elsewhere and for some I have offered assistance in finding new employment.
