Pros

Seems like you can do what ever you want because no one ever checks on you unless you have a problem and customer calls into the office.

Cons

No project management system to help handle all of the paperwork, no training program, company will always tell you were wrong after the fact, but will never be there to try and help you when you had the problem. Everything is reactive never proactive prior to a situation happening. Not much support for providing manpower to staff your projects, limited support staff to help with all of the paperwork it takes these days in construction.

Plenty of work, good pay, intelligent owners

Cons

You had better know your stuff and have a wide grasp on construction knowledge or you will be unemployed in short order. You had also better be prepared to teach yourself everything you don't know quickly. There is no safety net. You are on your own from day one. You can also get tossed under the bus quickly so you need to be able to defend yourself at all times. This place is no joke, and nobody is looking to make friends. If you need that you need to find another place to work. Don't relocate your family here until you are sure you are as good as you think you are. You might be unpleasantly surprised.
